The Manitoba Quarter Horse Association (MQHA) operates as an international affiliate of the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA).

Our mandate is to: 

1. Support the promotion and welfare of the American Quarter Horse;
2. Provide beneficial services for its members which enhance and encourage American Quarter Horse ownership and participation with AQHA and MQHA. This includes assisting MQHA members with conducting business with AQHA should the member desire, which includes assistance with registrations, transfers, memberships, shows, etc; 
3. Strive to generate growth of AQHA and MQHA membership via marketing, promotion, advertising and publicity of the AQHA;
4. Educate horse owners and the public regarding the benefits of registering eligible quarter horses with AQHA;
5. Address the concerns of American Quarter Horse owners in Canada and communicate such concerns to AQHA and, if applicable and appropriate, the Canadian government; and
6. Promote, both internationally and within Canada, Canadian bred and/or Canadian owned American Quarter Horses.
