Youth Horsemanship Clinics

MQHA believes strongly in supporting young riders and providing the opportunity to develop horsemanship skills. 

For 2024, MQHA's annual $500 scholarship commitment along with other fundraising efforts will be directed towards providing youth in both Western Manitoba and Eastern Manitoba an opportunity to attend a one-day horsemanship clinic at a minimal fee. These clinics are open to any youth and their horse (any breed welcome) whether you plan to show or not. The clinics would be ideal for 4H members, those interested in showing at local Open Shows or Ag Society events, or those who may be interested in showing at an MQHA event one day. You do not have to show a horse to attend this clinic. Priority will be given to youth, however if any amateurs are interested, please apply and any spots left open will be filled in order of applications received. 

Western Manitoba: Sunday, May 12th at Sandy Land Stables with Barry Foote

Eastern Manitoba: Saturday, August 24th at AliDale Farms with Dale Barkman

Clinic Fee: $50 per rider     

Auditing: free
